Joint meeting with Harvey County Commission, USD 373 Board of Education, and Newton Recreation Commission.
- Discuss funding of the Newton Public Building Commission, and the potential to fund additional recreational facility projects (such as Centennial ballfield expansion and improvement, and municipal swimming pool renovations) with some additional contribution by the three partners (City, USD and NRC) to the Interlocal Agreement as to athletic and recreational facilities.
- Discuss anticipated future capital improvements needs of each of the entities which may impact future mill levies, and discuss ways in which the four entities might work collaboratively on the planning of such projects in a way which might minimize impacts on citizens’ mill levies.
